Love this place & feel very confident taking my dog there
Dr Lopez willingly saw my dog on a Saturday when I had an emergency with the dog and couldn't find anyone else who could see him. Yes the visit was rushed but he had a whole waiting room of pets to be seen. I was there to have my dog diagnosed and effectively treated, not for Dr Lopez and staff to hold my hand. I called 2 days later to get an update on my dog and to my surprise, Dr Lopez spoke to me directly and gave me an update. He never gave me the feeling I was an inconvenience nor that he was only interested in charging me. He treated my dog for his illness, the staff was more than pleasant and helpful, and I wouldn't hesitate to use his service again.
He defintley relates better to animals than people, but then i suppose that is why he is an animal doctor and not a doctor for people! He is wonderful with big dogs, we took our dog to another area vet to have him neutered and it was a horrible experience with the vet basically hiding behind a door from my dog and throwing a muzzle at me, the first vet we took him to also expected me to hold a 90 pound german shephard while he administed the anesthetic (while there were 3 veterinary assistants sitting behind the desk) When we took our dog to Dr. Lopez we actually took a muzzle with us and his staff told us that wasn't necessary, got down to my dogs level, made him feel welcome and safe and were very friendly to us. We will definitley continue to use the services of Dr. Lopez and his staff at the Wellsville Veterinary Hospital!
Dr. Lopez is great with the animals and is very informative!
I was recommended to go here to get my cat fixed. She didn't end up getting fixed but got all vaccinations and deworming. I appreciate the recommendation but I wish they called when they couldn't do the surgery. I only got a call saying that they can't do the surgery because of deworming and that they needed to keep her for 2 days...
